Designed to ease students into the conference experience, AFSS invites all students to meet and discuss your freshwater ecology research challenges and triumphs. This year AFSS will be running face-to-face and virtual student mixers.

Join us for a relaxed evening of drinks and BBQ dinner. There will be vegetarian options available.
Hub Dinner
Date: Wednesday, 9th December 2020
Time: 7:00 PM
Location: Amaroo Tavern
Cost: Approximately $35 (depending on what you personally order) paid directly to the venue on the night.
This is an optional dinner outing for those who would like to organise ahead for their Wednesday night dinner in Moree. The Amaroo Tavern provides a comfortable and welcoming slice of country hospitality that is sure to please.
Field Trip
Gwydir Wetlands Field Trip

We are honoured to have Josephine Wilson from NSW DPIE EES lead us through a tour of the Gwydir Wetlands. The Gwydir Wetlands are an example of terminal delta wetlands and are among the few inland wetlands of this kind remaining in the Murray–Darling Basin.
More information regarding transport and catering will be provided closer to date.

Gwydir Thermal Pools Motel and Carapark offers a range of quality accommodation options. The establishment has been operating since 1979 and has successfully expanded to have five pools including two new round Artesian Thermal Pools and a 25m Cool pool. The pool area is open daily for our guests from 7am to 10pm.
